Inquiries about used items may be directed to: info@AmericanParagliding.com, or call (805) 403-1859. All listings subject to prior sale.

The majority of our used items were purchased before the tariffs, so the savings are significant. Most of out used items are from demo and school closeouts, and are available for a fraction of the cost of new gear!

Should I Become Certified?
Many student pilots ask us this, and really, it is up to you. There is no "License Required" to fly an Ultralight (Paraglider, Paramotor, PPG Trike or Powered Paraglider), but certainly learning the fundamental skill to operate safely is very important!

For some of the larger WSC (Hang Glider) Trikes, an FAA Certification is required. Also, flying Tandem (2 people) with ANY aircraft requires either a Tandem Instructor Rating or an FAA Pilot License for the pilot of the aircraft.

Certification takes you to the next level in competence and confidence in flying our unique aircraft, but some prefer to just learn to fly without going for the certification. Some of the best Fly-Ins in the country where pilots gather to fly together require the pilots to be certified.

Because we feel strongly the need to be trained to truly be safe in the operation of these unique aircraft (after all, you can't simply pull over to the side of the road!), we require all purchasers of our flying gear to be previously certified or engaged in training with a certified Instructor.

Paragliders

Paragliders

Today's modern Paraglider is a marvel of fabric and lines!

Now certified to strict standards, the new wings are safer, more stable and have better performance than ever before.

Paramotors

Paramotors

The motor that powers us to dizzying heights is nothing short of remarkable!

A little two-stroke engine built with modern technology and used with the newer, more efficient Power Gliders offers more than enough reliable power with much less weight.

Paramotors

Trikes

Roll into Flight!

Save your knees, legs and ankles and say goodbye to broken props and cages. With proper training, a PPG Trike will make those calm condition flights not just possible, but fun and easy!

DISCLAIMER: Please read and be sure you thoroughly understand this disclaimer before flying an ultralight aircraft. Paramotors, Powered Paragliders, PPG, PPG Trikes, Hang Glider Trikes, Weight shift Control Trikes - any of these small aircraft that weight less than 254 pounds and have a tank less than 5 gallons are considered Ultralights. These are single-place (solo) flying machines for sport aviation only during daylight hours. Ultralight flying is an extremely demanding sport requiring exceptional levels of attention, judgment, maturity and self discipline. It is unlikely that you will be able to participate in it safely unless you make a conscious and continual commitment to your own safety. Ultralight aircraft flying is an inherently dangerous sport and may result in injury and death even when practiced by a competent pilot using proper equipment. Ultralights are not covered by product liability insurance, nor have they been designed manufactured or tested to any federal or state government airworthiness standards or regulations. Do not fly them unless you are willing to assume personally all risks in the sport of ultralight flying, and all responsibility for any property damage, injury, or death which may result from your use of this activity. Safe operation of any ultralight aircraft requires a pilot proficiency equivalent to that of a Novice Solo Pilot or in some cases a BFI (Basic Flight Instructor), as well as an equivalent level of knowledge and understanding of those wind and weather conditions which may compromise the pilot's safe control of the ultralight. In particular, be advised that gusty winds or turbulent conditions may interfere with even an expert pilot's ability to safely control an ultralight aircraft, and may cause it to crash. Never take anything for granted in aviation. If you are in doubt about anything, stop and figure it out immediately. By purchasing this item, you assume sole responsibility for your safety and hold harmless the retailer and manufacturer for injury or death resulting from your use of this item.
